Valmet selected for Strategic Biofuels’ Louisiana Green Fuels carbon-negative power project

Valmet selected to supply biomass power generation equipment for Strategic Biofuels’ Louisiana Green Fuels project in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana. Scope includes boiler island with circulating fluidized bed boiler and flue gas cleaning systems for planned carbon-negative power facility. Project targets more than 300 megawatts of gross generating capacity, integrating carbon capture with permanent geologic sequestration. Full buildout targets annual consumption above 3.5 million tons of forestry residuals.
