MUMBAI, Sept 21 (Reuters) — STOCKS: The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 0.17% at 74,821, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 rose 0.28% to 23,411, aided by bargain-buying after recent losses, while elevated crude oil prices and heightened activity in primary markets limited the gains..BO Rupee: The Indian rupee edged up 0.05% versus the U.S. dollar at 95.8225, as a dip in oil prices and dollar sales by foreign lenders helped counter the impact of sustained hedging demand from local importers, traders said. INR/ Government Bonds: The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.1550 rupees, with the yield slightly lower at 7.0606%, as softer Brent tempered anxiety over a US Treasury selloff and the Reserve Bank of India's liquidity-draining bond sales. IN/ Overnight Index Swaps: The one-year overnight index swap rate was up nearly one basis point at 6.08%, while the five-year swap rate was down 2 bps at 6.56%. Call Money: India's overnight call money rate was at 5.10%, and the overnight TREPS rate was at 5.30% (Reporting by Khushi Malhotra; Editing by Ronojoy Mazumdar) ((khushi.malhotra@thomsonreuters.com)
