Semtech joins XPO consortium for AI optics

Semtech joined the eXtra-dense Pluggable Optics (XPO) multi-source agreement as a technology partner for AI data-center optical interconnects. The move positions Semtech to supply 200G-per-lane modulator driver and transimpedance amplifier ICs for XPO transceiver development and volume deployment, targeting higher bandwidth density with lower power as AI infrastructure shifts toward 200G-per-lane electrical optics in 2026.
