Suspects in 2021 killing of Haitian president flown to U.S. to face trial

Eighteen suspects in the 2021 assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moises were flown to the United States on Sunday from Haiti, according to U.S. District Attorney Jason Reding Quiñones. Quiñones stated that this marks "the next major phase in our pursuit of accountability for the assassination." In May, four South Florida men were convicted of plotting to kill Moises, and 30 people have been indicted in connection with the crime.
