Odalys is moving toward the northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h), and this general motion is expected to persist over the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Odalys is forecast to become a hurricane by Monday.
