EU to impose safeguards on electrical steel imports
EU plans to impose import quotas and minimum prices for electrical steel and downstream products to shield the bloc from cheap imports, mainly from Asia.
The European Union said on Friday it will impose import quotas and minimum prices for electrical steel and downstream products as part of efforts to protect the bloc from cheap imports, mainly from Asia. The measures are expected to benefit Thyssenkrupp's steel unit TKMS and Poland's Stalprodukt SA, among others.
