NHC says there is an 80% chance of cyclone formation in the next 48 hours for system located southwest of the Azores

Sept 18 (Reuters) — An area of low pressure located several hundred miles southwest of the Azores has an 80% chance of forming into a cyclone in the next 48 hours, the US National Hurricane Center said. The NHC added showers and thunderstorms associated with the low pressure system have become more concentrated during the past few hours, and "a tropical depression could form later tonight or on Saturday."
