Following the Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision, investors will turn their attention to a busy slate of Fed speakers next week for further clues on policymakers' views on the economy and the policy outlook.

On Tuesday, Federal Reserve Bank of New York President JohnWilliams is scheduled to deliver keynote remarks at the 2026 Treasury Markets Conference (1005/1405), with Federal Reserve Vice Chair PhilipJefferson also due to speak at the conference. On Friday, Williams is likely to participate in a discussion at the London Macro Policy Forum (0410/0810). Cleveland Fed President BethHammack is expected to give opening remarks at the Inflation: Drivers and Dynamics Conference 2026 (0850/1250) on Thursday and is also scheduled to speak on a policy panel at the same conference on Friday (1400/1800).

Among other Fed speakers, Richmond Fed President ThomasBarkin will speak before the CFA Society Baltimore on Tuesday (1300/1700) and before the Economic Club of Washington DC on Thursday (0800/1200). Philadelphia Fed President AnnaPaulson is likely to participate in a discussion at the hybrid 10th Annual Fintech Conference on Thursday (1010/1410). On the US economic calendar, S&P Global Purchasing Managers' Index surveys are due on Wednesday. The following day, the Labor Department is expected to release weekly initial and continued jobless claims data.

Also on Thursday, sales of newly constructed US single-family homes are expected to rise slightly to 608,000 units in August from 607,000 in July. On Friday, investors will look to the University of Michigan's Surveys of Consumers for the latest reading of the Consumer Sentiment Index. 1% in July. CVC-backed BambooInsurance is expected to go public in New York on Wednesday.

In Canada, Statistics Canada is scheduled to release retailsales data on Thursday. Latin American economic data in the week ahead will be headlined by Brazil's IPCA-15 inflation reading on Friday. On Thursday, Mexico's central bank is expected to announce its benchmark interest rate decision while the country's retailsales data is likely to be released on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Argentina is set to publish economic activity figures on Thursday.
