Europe Gasoline/Naphtha — Gasoline refining margins edge higher

LONDON, Sept 17 (Reuters) — Northwest European gasoline refining margins rose by 46 cents to $49.93 a barrel on Friday. About 8,000 metric tons of gasoline E5 barges traded, with Exxon Mobil and Petroineos selling to Gunvor and Varo. A further 12,000 metric tons of gasoline E10 barges traded, with TOTSA and Sahara selling to Exxon, BP, Vitol, Varo and Gunvor. Germany's government plans to cut the energy tax on gasoline by €0.14 ($0.16) per litre, newspaper Bild reported on Friday. In addition, Berlin is working on a gasoline price cap that would be contingent on the oil price and the government's plans are subject to talks with the heads of Germany's regional states, according to Bild.
