Europe Distillates — Diesel refining margins hold steady

LONDON, Sept 18 (Reuters) — European diesel margins fell marginally on Friday, holding near record high levels as disruptions in the Middle East continue. Low-sulphur gasoil futures traded at $85.34 a barrel above Brent crude futures at 1637 GMT, 30 cents lower than the previous close. Four commodity vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz in the Gulf on Thursday, down from six a day earlier and below the 10-day average of about 16, preliminary shipping data showed on Friday. Gasoil and diesel stocks held largely steady in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub at 1.65 million tons with no imports. However, eight cargoes were expected to offload by the end of the month.
