EU to impose provisional safeguards on electrical steel imports
The European Commission said it will set import quotas and minimum prices for electrical steel and downstream products to shield the EU from cheap imports, principally from Asia.
The European Commission said on Friday it will introduce import quotas and minimum prices for electrical steel and downstream products as part of efforts to protect the EU from low-cost imports, mainly from Asia. The measures are set to support Thyssenkrupp's XETR:TKA steel unit TKMS and Poland's Stalpro.
