UPDATE 1 — Equinor signs long — term LNG agreement with Thailand's PTT Trading

(Adds quote, background in paragraphs 2-4) OSLO, Sept 18 (Reuters) — Equinor said on Friday it has signed a long-term agreement to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Thailand's PTT Trading (PTTT). "The agreement underlines the role of LNG in contributing to security of supply in a dynamic energy market," Equinor's senior vice president for gas and power, Helle Oestergaard Kristiansen, said in a statement. The Norwegian company produces LNG at a plant in Arctic northern Norway and also buys LNG from US producer Cheniere for deliveries to its own customers, a business it is looking to expand. Equinor said the commercial terms were confidential, and declined to comment on the duration and volume of the contract.
