Indonesia finance minister pledges refunds for overpaid tax
Suahasil Nazara pledged to refund taxpayers who have overpaid, saying this would be done in accordance with regulations after taking office this week.
Indonesia’s new finance minister Suahasil Nazara said at a press conference on Friday that taxpayers who have overpaid will be refunded in line with regulations. Suahasil, who took over as finance minister this week, replaced Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, who had requested more audits of tax refunds, which caused delays.
