Freddie Mac 30-year mortgage rate rises to 6.95%

Freddie Mac said the U.S. 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.95% in the week of Sept. 17, up from 6.76% the prior week and the highest since Jan. 30, 2025.
