GlobalFoundries shares rise on report of Japan-backed US chip plant talks

GlobalFoundries (GFS) shares were up over 2% in premarket after Nikkei reported Japan and the U.S. are discussing a new semiconductor manufacturing project that could be operated by the U.S.-based foundry.
