J.B. Hunt warns higher diesel could weigh on earnings
J.B. Hunt CFO Frad Delco said third-quarter earnings would be down from the prior period as high fuel prices eventually hit transportation earnings even when costs are often passed to customers.
B. Hunt Transport Services told investors at a Morgan Stanley conference that third-quarter earnings would be lower than expected because of higher fuel costs. Delco said higher diesel prices can eventually weigh on transportation companies' earnings, even when they typically pass those costs through to customers.
