Mizuho expects Japan import prices stay high on energy costs

Mizuho economist Shota Amano says Japan’s import prices are expected to remain high as Middle East tensions push up energy prices and alternative procurement costs. He expects total import values to keep an upward trend if the Iran situation settles.
