Reuters poll: Fed funds rate seen at 3.75%-4.00% by Sept 16
A Reuters poll of economists found 86 of 101 expected the Fed to raise the fed funds rate to 3.75%-4.00% on September 16, versus 65 of 93 expecting a hold on Sept 9. The poll also had 37 of 70 predicting at least two hikes by end-March 2027.
The Federal Reserve is expected to raise the fed funds rate at least twice by the end-March 2027, according to 37 of 70 economists in the latest Reuters poll. That compares with 21 of 82 economists in a Sept 9 poll.
