Bitcoin Has Bottomed, Analyst Says: 'We're Not Going Back to Those Lows'

Macro investor Dan Tapiero told The Wolf of All Streets podcast on Friday that Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) has already bottomed and the low will not be revisited. What Tapiero Said About the Bottom Tapiero said the real catalyst behind Bitcoin’s bottom was not the Treasury’s bond buyback program but the coordinated U.S.-Japan intervention in the dollar-yen exchange rate. The pair started moving at around 162 to 163, and Tapiero sees another 10% of downside still ahead for dollar-yen, which historically moves inversely with gold and Bitcoin. “I don’t think we’re going back to those lows,” he said. “We may have a correction, but that low is a good low in Bitcoin, ETH (CRYPTO: ETH), and Solana (CRYPTO: SOL),” he added. He pointed to a convergence of catalysts that raised the floor, all arriving on the same day: Treasury intervention — bond buyback program signaling dollar weakness Trump’s public support for Hyperliquid Strategies (NASDAQ: PURR ) SEC and CFTC both sending supportive regulatory signals simultaneously His view is that Bitcoin has shifted from a $60,000 to $70,000 range into a $70,000 to $80,000 range as the new base. Where Tapiero Is Putting Money to Work Tapiero noted that through his 10T fund he focuses on growth-stage companies across the digital asset ecosystem rather than tokens directly. The biggest long-term opportunity in his view is tokenizing illiquid assets. Hundreds of trillions of dollars in real estate, art, and esoteric assets sit locked away from global investors, and blockchain provides the infrastructure to unlock them. On the public company side, he flagged that the digital asset ecosystem has already produced multiple IPOs including Circle (NYSE: CRCL ), Figure, and eToro, and expects 20 to 50 publicly listed digital asset companies within the next several years.

Why He Sees Blockchain as the Money Layer for AI Tapiero added that blockchain is the natural financial rail for AI agents, since autonomous agents transacting with each other will need a permissionless, programmable settlement layer. He noted one portfolio company that went from 10% AI-written code 18 months ago to 100% today, dropping that productivity gain directly to the bottom line. Moreover, he frames the intersection of AI and blockchain as the single most important investment theme of the next decade.
