SPIC Brasil signs $272.30 million deal to expand Brazil’s Sao Simao hydro plant

SPIC Brasil, a subsidiary of China’s State Power Investment Corporation, signed a contract with a Chinese consortium to expand the Sao Simao hydroelectric plant. The expansion is for 1.4 billion reais ($272.30 million), the power generator said.
