S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures fall; EUR/USD slips
US index futures point lower in Europe: S&P 500 -0.56% and Nasdaq 100 -1.3%. EUR/USD is -0.29% while WTI rises to 100.12.
European session market picture: US index futures were lower, with S&P futures down 0.56 percent, Nasdaq futures down 1.3 percent, Dow futures down 0.24 percent and Russell futures down 0.82 percent. In currencies, the dollar index was up 0.31 percent, EUR/USD was down 0.29 percent, GBP/USD was down 0.35 percent and EUR/GBP was up 0.07 percent. In oil, WTI crude was at 100.12, up 4.24 percent, and Brent crude was at 105.3, up 4.04 percent. Among UK volume leaders, Lloyds Banking Group was down 0.09 percent, BP was up 2.28 percent, Barclays was down 0.53 percent, HSBC was down 1.39 percent and Shell was up 1.76 percent.
Among continental European volume leaders, UBS was down 1.08 percent, Deutsche Telekom was up 0.72 percent, Novartis was up 1.25 percent, SAP was down 2.61 percent and Nestle was up 0.15 percent.
