Novo Nordisk says Wegovy approved in China for MASH
Novo Nordisk said Wegovy has been approved in China for the treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), described as the first GLP-1 RA class of drugs for that indication in the country.
Denmark's Novo Nordisk OMXCOP:NOVO_B said on Thursday its weight-loss drug Wegovy has been approved in China as the first GLP-1 RA class of drugs for the treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). The company said the liver health-related benefits evidence extends the established use of Wegovy and cites the medicine's effect on MASH.
