AVAV shares jump after-hours on record sales and $1.5B backlog

AeroVironment (AVAV) shares rose as much as 7% after-hours following a regular-session drop. The defense technology company beat estimates on revenue and adjusted earnings, reported record sales and a $1.5B backlog, and CEO said FY27 was “off to a strong start.”
