Asian session: S&P 500 E-minis slip while Nasdaq 100 rises
Asian trading shows S&P 500 E-mini futures down 0.03 percent and Nasdaq 100 E-mini futures up 0.51 percent. Dow futures are down 0.62 percent and Russell 2000 futures down 0.18 percent.
Asian session market picture: US index futures were mixed, with S and P futures down 0.03 percent, Nasdaq futures up 0.51 percent, Dow futures down 0.62 percent and Russell futures down 0.18 percent. In currencies, the dollar index was down 0.37 percent, dollar yen was down 0.53 percent, USD/CNH was up 0.02 percent and AUD/USD was down 0.04 percent. Oil prices were firmer, with WTI crude at 93.21, up 1.89 percent, and Brent crude at 97.81, up 1.59 percent. Among Asian volume leaders, Xiaomi was down 1.89 percent, SoftBank Group was up 6.24 percent, Mitsubishi UFJ was down 0.38 percent, Toyota was down 3.62 percent and Samsung Electronics was up 1.3 percent.
