Deutsche Telekom XETR:DTE, Orange EURONEXT:ORA, Vodafone Group LSE:VOD and Telefonica BME:TEF are in early talks to form a consortium that would bid on satellite spectrum and offer direct-to-mobile services, Bloomberg News reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter. The group of carriers was not named in the report, which said discussions are continuing.
