Nikkei jumps more than 2% as chip stocks follow US strength

Japan’s Nikkei rose more than 2% on Monday, with chip-related shares tracking higher U.S. peers. The Nikkei climbed 2.28% to 66,500.29, while Topix gained 0.81% to 4,136.31.
