Isar Aerospace Spectrum rocket reaches orbit; plans rapid satellite expansion
German startup Isar Aerospace said its uncrewed Spectrum rocket reached orbit after a launch from Arctic Norway. It added it would rapidly expand satellite deployments following the milestone.
By Terje Solsvik German startup Isar Aerospace on Sunday said it would rapidly expand satellite deployments after the first orbital launch of its Spectrum rocket from Arctic Norway, a milestone for Europe’s efforts to secure independent access to space. The uncrewed Spectrum became the first commercially developed launch vehicle from continental Europe to reach orbit, according to the company.
