Shares of Clearmind Medicine Inc. (NASDAQ: CMND ) are trading lower Friday morning as investors digest news of the clinical-stage biotech company expanding beyond its core pharmaceutical focus to acquire a majority stake in an electric vehicle charging firm.

Clearmind Secures 51% Stake in Charging Robotics for $4M Total Commitment According to a Friday morning announcement, Vancouver-based Clearmind entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a 51% controlling stake in Charging Robotics for an aggregate purchase price of $2.5 million.

As a condition of the agreement, Clearmind will also extend a $1.5 million loan to Charging Robotics bearing an interest rate of 4% per annum.

The loan principal and accrued interest mature three years after closing, with an automatic extension if Charging Robotics has not generated sufficient positive cash flow from operations and financing to repay the debt.

The transaction is expected to close during the week of Sept.

7, subject to customary closing conditions.

CMND Shares Slide Friday Morning CMND Price Action: Clearmind Medicine shares were down 8.82% at $1.55 during premarket trading on Friday.

The stock is trading near its 52-week low of $1.43, according to Pro data.
