In oil, WTI crude is at 90.93, down 0.41 percent and Brent crude is at 95.38, down 0.15 percent.
UK volume leaders: BP up 0.69 percent, Lloyds Banking Group down 0.58 percent, Barclays down 0.04 percent, HSBC down 0.03 percent and GSK down 0.24 percent. continental European volume leaders: Novartis down 1.1 percent, UBS up 0.09 percent, Nestle up 0.33 percent, Deutsche Telekom down 0.87 percent and Sanofi up 0.24 percent.
