Shanghai Composite and Shenzhen Component rise into mixed week

Shanghai Composite rose 0.6% to 3,966 on Friday and Shenzhen Component gained 0.7% to 13,716, leaving both on track for a mixed weekly finish as investors look to upcoming trade and inflation data.

The Shanghai Composite gained 0.6% to 3,966 on Friday, while the Shenzhen Component advanced 0.7% to 13,716, with both benchmarks remaining on track for a mixed weekly performance as investors positioned cautiously ahead of key economic releases that could provide further insight into the strength of China's recovery.

Market participants are closely watching upcoming trade and inflation data after the latest PMI surveys pointed to improving economic momentum.

Still, investors balanced encouraging economic signals against lingering concerns over domestic demand and the broader growth outlook.

Technology stocks led the advance, particularly Cambricon Technologies (1.4%), Hygon Information Technology (1.1%), Zhongji Innolight (1.5%), Eoptolink Technology (2.0%), and NAURA Technology (1.4%).
