Asia mixed: S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures down; USD/JPY and WTI up
Asian trade shows U.S. index futures lower: S&P 500 -0.09% and Nasdaq 100 -0.2%, with Dow and Russell also down (both -0.09%/-0.2%). USD/JPY rises +0.15% and WTI gains +1.97%.
Asian session market picture: U.S. index futures were lower, with S and P futures down 0.09 percent, Nasdaq futures down 0.2 percent, Dow futures down 0.09 percent and Russell futures down 0.2 percent. In currencies, the dollar index was up 0.1 percent, dollar yen up 0.15 percent, USD/CNH up 0.07 percent and AUD/USD up 0.01 percent. WTI crude was at 92, up 1.97 percent.
Among Asian volume leaders, Xiaomi was up 1.45 percent, SoftBank Group down 5.72 percent, Mitsubishi UFJ down 1 percent, Alibaba down 1.63 percent and AIA Group up 0.72 percent.
