Global markets are under pressure from rising oil prices and bond yields as Middle East hostilities intensify, fuelling inflation concerns and expectations of higher interest rates.
Eurozone inflation accelerated for a second straight month to 3.3% in August, in line with expectations and reaching its highest level since September 2023, reinforcing expectations of a tighter stance by the ECB.
