PURR surges 20% after treasury and earnings update

Hyperliquid Strategies Inc (NASDAQ: PURR ) surged up to 20% on Thursday after reporting it more than doubled its HYPE treasury to 29.3 million tokens with zero debt.
What the Earnings Report Shows The company raised $647 million in equity capital during its fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, growing its HYPE treasury from an initial 12.5 million tokens to 29.3 million, according to a Hyperliquid Strategies press release.

Why Trump’s Comments Matter As reported earlier, President Donald Trump stated at an August 19 press conference that CFTC Chairman Mike Selig is actively working to bring Hyperliquid into the US in a fully compliant way.
That direct presidential endorsement sent both HYPE and PURR sharply higher in the days that followed.
What the Hyperliquid Ecosystem Shows The platform’s share of global perpetual futures volume hit an all-time high of 9.4% as of June 30, with Hyperliquid accounting for 63% of all decentralized perpetuals open interest as of August 23, more than five times its nearest competitor.
Real-world asset markets exceeded 50% of weekly platform volume for two consecutive weeks in July, and total open interest reached a record $13 billion as of August 23.
HYPE appreciated 77% during the quarter ended June 30 while the broader digital asset market declined roughly 13% over the same period.
Where PURR Stands Technically PURR explodes to $13.85 Thursday, breaking above the $11 to $11.50 resistance zone that capped every prior rally since June with no defined overhead resistance above current price.
RSI at 89.49 flags extreme overbought conditions, with a pullback toward $11.50 the most likely short-term path before any continuation.
