LEAP tech conference returns to Riyadh after five-month delay
Saudi Arabia’s top tech conference LEAP returns to Riyadh on Monday, five months after its original schedule. Semafor says it drew more than 200,000 visitors last year and $42 billion in announced investments across its first four editions.
Chief executives including HUMAIN’s Tareq Amin, Cisco’s Chuck Robbins, and AMD’s Lisa Su are expected to speak.

LEAP bills itself as the world’s most attended technology event — it drew more than 200,000 visitors last year, and its first four editions saw more than $42 billion in announced investments.
Chief executives including HUMAIN’s Tareq Amin, Cisco’s Chuck Robbins, and AMD’s Lisa Su are expected to speak.
The focus this year centers on Amin’s company, the Public Investment Fund’s AI champion, which entered the hardware game last September with a Qualcomm-powered prototype.
A more market-ready successor is expected to launch at LEAP.
The conference is also notable for being the largest Gulf event delayed by the war to try again.
Other events have defied expectations: Semafor reported in June that Abu Dhabi’s flagship startup gathering drew a crowd organizers feared wouldn’t come.
