European session: Nasdaq leads as S&P 500 up

European session snapshot: S&P 500 E-mini futures rose and Nasdaq 100 E-mini futures rose, while Dow futures and Russell 2000 futures fell. In FX, euro/dollar rose and the dollar index fell; WTI and Brent were higher.

US index futures: S and P futures is up 0.33 percent, Nasdaq futures is up 0.95 percent, Dow futures is down 0.2 percent and Russell futures is down 0.15 percent.

In currencies, the dollar index is down 0.01 percent, euro dollar is up 0.03 percent, GBP/USD is up 0.04 percent and EUR/GBP is up 0.01 percent.

In oil, WTI crude is at 82.48, up 0.3 percent and Brent crude is at 87.68, up 0.85 percent.

UK volume leaders: Lloyds Banking Group down 1.52 percent, Barclays down 0.64 percent, BP down 0.04 percent, Shell down 0.7 percent and HSBC down 0.41 percent. continental European volume leaders: UBS down 0.5 percent, Nestle down 1.92 percent, Deutsche Telekom down 3.49 percent, Novartis down 1.4 percent and SAP up 2.4 percent.
