In oil, WTI crude is at 80.81, down 1.73 percent and Brent crude is at 85.53, down 1.62 percent.
UK volume leaders: Lloyds Banking Group up 0.22 percent, BP down 0.98 percent, Barclays up 0.37 percent, HSBC up 0.05 percent and Shell down 1.17 percent. continental European volume leaders: Deutsche Telekom down 1.45 percent, Nestle down 1.5 percent, UBS down 0.46 percent, SAP up 0.9 percent and ASML up 2.07 percent.
