The case involves 29 states seeking financial penalties and mandatory changes to Meta's platforms.
Claims include alleged violations of state consumer-protection laws and federal rules covering data collected from users under 13.
Meta estimates a worst-case loss at trial could expose it to as much as $1.4T in penalties, though a settlement would likely be far smaller.
Separately, several state attorneys general scheduled press conferences for Wednesday, with Nevada saying it plans to announce a "major consumer protection settlement involving a leading technology company." It has not been confirmed that announcement involves Meta.
Mark Zuckerberg is also expected to testify if the trial continues.
