Nikkei 225 closes up 0.68% as select stocks lead gains
The Nikkei 225 rose 450 points, or 0.68%, on Wednesday to close at 66,306, with Toho Zinc, Mitsubishi Materials and Tokyo Electric Power among the top gainers.
The Nikkei 225 Index rose 450 points or 0.68 percent on Wednesday to close at 66306 points.
Leading the gains are Toho Zinc (6.24%), Mitsubishi Materials (5.70%) and Tokyo Electric Power (4.04%).
Top losers were Sumco (-4.04%), Kawasaki Kisen (-3.16%) and Furukawa Electric (-2.80%).
