European equities close mixed as DAX higher and CAC lower
European cash markets finish mixed with Euro Stoxx 50 up 0.12%, DAX up 0.5% and CAC 40 down 0.53%, while FTSE 100 rises 0.64%.

The FTSE 100 Index gained 31 points or 0.29 percent on Tuesday to close at 10885 points. Gains were led by Melrose (10.48%), AstraZeneca (2.96%) and International Airlines Group (2.45%). Biggest losers were Diageo (-2.37%), Standard Chartered (-2.32%) and British American Tobacco (-1.51%).
European cash markets finished mixed: the Euro Stoxx 50 closed up 0.12 percent, the DAX closed up 0.5 percent, the CAC 40 closed down 0.53 percent and the FTSE 100 closed up 0.64 percent.
UK volume leaders were Lloyds Banking Group down 0.13 percent, Barclays up 0.18 percent, BP down 0.96 percent, HSBC down 0.78 percent and GSK up 0.79 percent. continental European volume leaders were UBS up 0.05 percent, Novartis up 1.25 percent, Deutsche Telekom up 0.1 percent, SAP down 0.93 percent and Nestle down 0.8 percent.
