Stocks edge higher in Europe; WTI falls 2.87%

In oil, WTI crude is at 82.57, down 2.87 percent and Brent crude is at 88.12, down 2.67 percent.

UK volume leaders: Lloyds Banking Group up 0.31 percent, BP down 0.34 percent, Barclays up 0.31 percent, HSBC down 0.05 percent and Shell down 0.43 percent. continental European volume leaders: Novartis up 0.13 percent, UBS up 0.19 percent, Nestle down 0.62 percent, Deutsche Telekom up 0.03 percent and SAP down 0.52 percent.
