S&P 500, Nasdaq futures rise as WTI slides

US index futures: S and P futures is up 0.48 percent, Nasdaq futures is up 0.96 percent, Dow futures is up 0.47 percent and Russell futures is up 0.63 percent.

In currencies, the dollar index is up 0.01 percent, euro dollar is down 0.01 percent, GBP/USD is up 0.01 percent and EUR/GBP is down 0.02 percent.

In oil, WTI crude is at 82.47, down 2.99 percent and Brent crude is at 88.06, down 2.74 percent.

UK volume leaders: BP down 0.34 percent, Lloyds Banking Group up 0.31 percent, Barclays up 0.2 percent, HSBC unchanged at 0 percent and Shell down 0.28 percent. continental European volume leaders: UBS up 0.23 percent, Novartis up 0.17 percent, Deutsche Telekom up 0.03 percent, SAP down 0.76 percent and Nestle down 0.87 percent.
