Stocks edge higher in Europe; WTI slips, EUR/USD lower

In oil, WTI crude is at 84.58, down 0.51 percent and Brent crude is at 90.17, down 0.41 percent.
UK volume leaders: Lloyds Banking Group up 0.18 percent, BP up 0.39 percent, HSBC unchanged at 0 percent, Barclays up 0.27 percent and Shell up 0.28 percent. continental European volume leaders: UBS down 0.02 percent, Deutsche Telekom down 0.55 percent, Novartis up 0.08 percent, SAP down 0.97 percent and Nestle down 0.52 percent.
