Asia cash markets finish mixed; Nikkei up, Hang Seng down
Asian cash markets end mixed as Nikkei 225 rises 0.5% and Hang Seng falls 1.97%, while Shanghai Composite slips 0.4%, KOSPI gains 0.68%, and ASX 200 edges up 1.17%.
Asian cash markets finished mixed: the Nikkei 225 closed up 0.5 percent, the Hang Seng closed down 1.97 percent, the Shanghai Composite closed down 0.4 percent, the KOSPI closed up 0.68 percent and the ASX 200 closed up 1.17 percent.
Asian volume leaders were Meituan down 6.53 percent, Alibaba up 1.07 percent, Xiaomi down 0.22 percent, SoftBank Group up 2.25 percent and Mitsubishi UFJ up 1.38 percent.
