Stocks rise as S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures edge higher

European session reporting shows U.S. index futures firm, with S&P 500 up 0.21% and Nasdaq 100 up 0.53%, while EUR/USD slips 0.06% and WTI falls 0.66%.

US index futures: S and P futures is up 0.21 percent, Nasdaq futures is up 0.53 percent, Dow futures is up 0.11 percent and Russell futures is up 0.22 percent.

In currencies, the dollar index is up 0.07 percent, euro dollar is down 0.06 percent, GBP/USD is up 0.03 percent and EUR/GBP is down 0.07 percent.

In oil, WTI crude is at 84.45, down 0.66 percent and Brent crude is at 89.88, down 2.48 percent.

UK volume leaders: Lloyds Banking Group up 0.63 percent, BP up 0.51 percent, HSBC up 0.27 percent, Barclays up 0.6 percent and Shell up 0.07 percent. continental European volume leaders: UBS up 0.05 percent, Deutsche Telekom down 0.31 percent, SAP down 0.44 percent, Nestle down 0.31 percent and Allianz up 0.81 percent.
