Mastercard Inc (NYSE: MA ) stock traded higher on Monday after a recent financial disclosure filing revealed that President Donald Trump ‘s investment accounts purchased millions of dollars worth of the company’s stock during June.

The Nasdaq is down 0.79% while the S&P 500 has shed 0.22%. • Mastercard stock is moving in positive territory.

What’s driving MA shares up? Shift Toward Core Traditional Equities An August 2026 financial disclosure reveals that over 1,000 high-volume securities transactions worth between $78.1 million and $263.1 million were reported for June alone.

For Mastercard, three June purchases totaled an estimated $1.2 million to $5.5 million, based on the transaction ranges disclosed in the filing.

MA Technical Setup: Overbought RSI Near 52-Week High The chart remains firmly bullish: Mastercard is trading above all major moving averages, including about 4.5% above its 20-day SMA ($570.48) and about 12.8% above its 200-day SMA ($528.64).

That spacing matters because it signals buyers have been willing to pay up on pullbacks rather than waiting for deeper mean reversion.

Momentum is the main near-term watch-out: RSI is 72.60, which puts the stock in overbought territory and raises the odds of a pause or shallow pullback even if the primary trend stays intact.

The bigger-picture trend backdrop is still constructive after the golden cross in August (50-day SMA above the 200-day SMA), and price is now hovering just below the 52-week high of $601.77.

Key Resistance: $598.50 — Nearby pivot just under the 52-week high zone where breakouts can stall.

Key Support: $556 — Prior demand area that also sits closer to the rising short-to-intermediate trend structure.

MA Stock Price Activity: Mastercard shares were up 2.69% at $596.25 at the time of publication on Monday, according to Pro data.
