European session: futures ease, WTI crude falls 2.08%

The US Dollar Index is up 0.2 percent, EUR/USD is down 0.09 percent, GBP/USD is down 0.18 percent, and EUR/GBP is unchanged.

WTI crude is at 85.25, down 2.08 percent, and Brent crude is at 92.85, down 1.63 percent.

UK volume leaders include HSBC up 0.09 percent, Lloyds Banking Group up 0.18 percent, and Barclays up 0.22 percent.

BP is down 1.13 percent and Shell is down 0.38 percent.

Continental European volume leaders include UBS up 0.35 percent, Nestle up 0.58 percent, and Deutsche Telekom up 0.66 percent.

Novartis is down 0.25 percent and SAP is down 0.97 percent.
