Asian markets close mixed; Hang Seng gains lead regional trade
Asian cash markets finish mixed, with the Hang Seng up 1.9%, the KOSPI up 0.88%, the Shanghai Composite up 0.28%, the ASX 200 up 0.06% and the Nikkei 225 down 0.3%.
Asian cash markets finished mixed: the Nikkei 225 closed down 0.3 percent, the Hang Seng closed up 1.9 percent, the Shanghai Composite closed up 0.28 percent, the KOSPI closed up 0.88 percent and the ASX 200 closed up 0.06 percent.
Asian volume leaders were Xiaomi up 4.61 percent, Alibaba down 2.69 percent, AIA Group up 2.96 percent, Meituan down 1.11 percent and Mitsubishi UFJ up 1.27 percent.
