Asian session: US futures edge higher; dollar softer, oil slips
Asian-session trading shows S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Dow and Russell futures slightly higher, while the dollar index and USD/JPY are lower and WTI crude slips 0.43%.
US index futures: S&P futures are up 0.05 percent, Nasdaq futures are up 0.15 percent, Dow futures are up 0.04 percent, and Russell futures are up 0.27 percent.
In currencies, the dollar index is down 0.19 percent, USD/JPY is down 0.13 percent, USD/CNH is unchanged, and AUD/USD is up 0.48 percent.
In oil, WTI crude is at 86.46, down 0.43 percent, and Brent crude is at 93.49, down 0.31 percent.
Asian volume leaders: Xiaomi is up 3.6 percent, Alibaba is down 2.93 percent, AIA Group is up 2.68 percent, Meituan is down 2.5 percent, and Mitsubishi UFJ is up 1.59 percent.
