European markets close mixed, led by FTSE 100 gain
European cash markets finished mixed, with the Euro Stoxx 50, DAX and CAC 40 lower while the FTSE 100 closed up 0.14 percent.

UK volume leaders were Barclays down 1.49 percent, Lloyds Banking Group down 2.13 percent, HSBC down 1.15 percent, BP up 1.09 percent and AstraZeneca up 2.07 percent. continental European volume leaders were Nestle up 0.18 percent, Novartis up 1.24 percent, UBS down 0.44 percent, Deutsche Telekom up 1.11 percent and SAP up 1.86 percent.
