Datavault AI falls after Q2 revenue and EPS miss
Datavault AI Inc. (NASDAQ: DVLT) fell Wednesday after reporting second-quarter 2026 revenue of $6.72 million and a 12-cent loss per share, both below estimates.
Datavault AI Inc. (NASDAQ: DVLT ) stock fell Wednesday after the company reported second-quarter 2026 results that missed Wall Street estimates.
Revenue surged 287% year over year to $6.72 million from $1.74 million but missed the $30.25 million estimate.
Datavault reported a loss of 12 cents per share, missing the 3-cent loss estimate.
The company lost 54 cents per share a year earlier.
GAAP net loss widened to $88.03 million from $37.12 million.
Gross Profit Rises, Operating Loss Widens Gross profit increased to $2.88 million from $35,000 a year earlier.
However, operating loss widened to $26.46 million from $12.46 million.
Revenue included $2.84 million from live event production and $2.51 million from patent licensing.
Consumer audio products, components and other revenue contributed $1.05 million.
The quarter included an $8.09 million loss on crypto assets and a $56.37 million impairment of investments in non-marketable securities.
Datavault ended June with $1.4 million in cash and cash equivalents.
Datavault Secures New Financing Datavault entered into a securities purchase agreement with Streeterville Capital.
The company issued an unsecured convertible promissory note with $25.03 million in principal for a $25 million purchase price.
Streeterville also received the right to invest up to another $25 million through convertible notes over 12 months.
Acquisitions Expand Platform The financing followed Datavault's Aug.
14 agreement to acquire CyberCatch Holdings Inc. (OTCQB: CYBHF ) for $94.5 million in cash.
Datavault also signed a definitive agreement to acquire BankWyse, subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
The company is also developing Project Qestrel, a planned network of 1,000 cybersecure sovereign edge data centers across 100 U.S. cities and more than 30 states.
Revenue Guidance Beats Estimate Datavault affirmed full-year 2026 revenue guidance of at least $200 million, beating the $196.46 million estimate.
The outlook implies roughly 400% year-over-year growth.
DVLT Stock Price Activity: Datavault AI shares were down 12.15% at 34 cents in Wednesday premarket trading, according to Pro data.
